This may NOT be the same Cho Cho 1998 - Middle School
Look at his eyes and face.
He looks "Chinese" whereas Cho looks obviously "Korean".
Many people won't pick this up, BUT I DID. Just like the

2003 Film 'Oldboy' Was Model for Cho's Videos, Professor Says
Viewers tuning into this week’s news may have thought they were watching scenes from a particularly violent and disturbing horror movie. Or their thoughts may have turned to Gus Van Sant’s Elephant, the 2003 film about a high-school shooting that won the Palm d’Or at the Cannes International Film Festival.
But Paul Harrill, an independent filmmaker who is an assistant professor of communication at Virginia Tech, told London’s Evening Standard that he recognized a different film at the heart of the video package Cho Seung-Hui sent to NBC. According to Mr. Harrill, several scenes from the videos strongly resemble those in a violent South Korean film named Oldboy.
Released in 2003, Oldboy tells the story of a man who is imprisoned without cause for 15 years and who seeks revenge after he is freed just as mysteriously. Directed by Park Chan-Wook, the film received the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes festival. It is the second installment in a three-part revenge trilogy based on Japanese manga comics.
Other scenes from the killer’s video package are reminiscent of works by John Woo, the Hong Kong director of films like Face/Off and Hard-Boiled. But according to the Evening Standard, the police believe it was Oldboy that Mr. Cho watched repeatedly in preparation for the massacre. —Sierra Millman

For some locals, Cho family was 'like ghosts'
snip)
The Chos spoke for the first time Friday, 4/20/07 releasing a statement to the Associated Press through an attorney, saying they feel "hopeless, helpless and lost."
"We are humbled by this darkness," wrote Cho's sister, Sun-Kyung, 25. "This is someone that I grew up with and loved. Now I feel like I didn't know this person. ... My brother was quiet and reserved, yet struggled to fit in. We never could have envisioned that he was capable of so much violence."
Before Monday, the family's story shared similarities with that of other Korean immigrants.
Seung-Tae Cho and his wife, Hyang-In, told friends they came to America for the sake of their children's education. They settled in a townhouse in Centreville, Va., near good public schools. The father worked long hours pressing pants at a dry cleaner in Manassas, Va. The mother occasionally went to church.
And when their firstborn, Sun-Kyung, got into Princeton in 1999, it seemed as if all their sacrifices had paid off. The parents, once adrift in poverty in South Korea, now had an anchor for the good life in America through their Ivy League daughter.
Beyond these broad brush strokes of Cho's life in Fairfax, only bits and pieces have emerged from relatives. The local ethnic organizations that typically gather Korean immigrants - churches, social clubs and civic associations - say the Chos were largely unknown and disconnected in the Washington area, which is unusual for the tight-knit community.
"They're like ghosts," said Ron Kim of the Korean-American Dry Cleaners Association of Greater Washington. "It is really strange for a family not to be known."

snip) Kim Yang Soon, a great-aunt in Korea, said Cho's mother told her the boy had autism.Fortunately, they had plenty of relatives in the United States who could teach the father dry cleaning skills. By 1997, the Chos had saved enough to buy a $145,000 townhouse on Truitt Farm Drive in Centreville. Seung Tae Cho changed jobs several times and recently worked at Green Cleaners in Manassas, where he pressed pants. Moon Hee Lee, one of his bosses there, said the elder Cho never took more than a day off at a time and worked Monday through Saturday. "He was working too hard, just working, working," she said. But during lunch breaks, over Korean meals, he would often boast of his daughter. "He was very proud of her. He always talked about her," she said. About almost anything else, she said, the family remained quiet. Others in the local Korean community, including pastors of the largest Korean churches, civic leaders and members of the dry cleaners association, examined their records and talked to associates to see whether the Chos had any relationship with their groups. So far, none has been found. Some classmates at Princeton said they couldn't remember Sun Kyung Cho, the killer's sister, ever talking about her family. Sun Kyung, who now works as a contractor for the State Department, was part of a 25-member "food co-op," or eating club, during her senior year, where students met for dinner every night and often stayed for hours talking about current events and philosophical issues. Those in the club described her as a driven and focused student. Francis Pickering, who was in the same eating club, said Sun-Kyung was a "very, very hard worker" who seemed to keep to herself, seldom discussing her family or much about herself. Another friend said this week that he was surprised to learn that she had a brother, as she rarely, if ever, mentioned her family. In a telephone interview, the friend spoke anonymously because Sun Kyung had passed a message through Princeton's Manna Christian Fellowship asking her friends not to talk to the media. Others added that the family appeared to struggle with the media frenzy and what to say publicly before finally issuing the statement through Raleigh, N.C., lawyer Wade Smith. Some relatives said the family has kept its distance even from them. Sung Ryol Cho, an uncle who runs a dry cleaner in Anne Arundel County, said he hasn't talked to the family in years. His wife said she has tried to call them this week but has received no response. "We don't know where they are," she said. "We hope they are okay." Staff writers Tom Jackman, Robert O'Harrow and Josh White and special correspondent Joohee Cho in Goyang City, South Korea, contributed to this report. David Cho and Joohee Cho are not related to the family of Seung Hui Cho. © 2007 The Washington Post Company URL: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18239509/ http://hu1st.blogspot.com/2007/04/chos-parents-identified-by-wash-post.html

Cho family Story
April 22, 2007
CENTREVILLE, VA. - The three-story beige town house on Truitt Farm Drive stands as the Cho family's symbol of middle-class success, precisely what they were searching for when they left a dank basement apartment and a life of struggle in South Korea 15 years ago.
But the dream house is empty now, abandoned by a family on the run, not from the law but from a world seeking some sort of explanation.
Cho, 23, grew up on a quiet cul-de-sac where neighbors waved a friendly hello, but would later say they hardly knew he existed.
Sung-tae Cho, the killer's father, came from a poor rural area. He was a "country bumpkin" and considerably older than his wife, the daughter
of a refugee, said Seung-hui Cho's great-aunt, Kim Yang-soon. "We
practically forced her to get married."
Sung-tae and Hyang-im Cho were ambitious and apparently educated because after they settled on the still semi-rural outskirts of Seoul, they bought a used-book store. One could make a decent living selling secondhand books in the 1970s, before South Korea's economy began to boom. But one relative said the bookstore just eked out a profit.
To ease his family's plight, Sung-tae Cho left his wife behind to be a laborer in the Middle East, working on oil fields and construction sites in Saudi Arabia for most of the 1980s.
Back home, his wife gave birth March 22, 1982, to their daughter, Sun- kyung. On Jan. 18, 1984, Seung-hui was born.
For the first few years of Seung-hui Cho's life, the family lived in a
dark, damp basement apartment on a busy commercial street in
Shinchang, a suburb of Seoul. They lived at the bottom of a three- story, red-brick home, and paid $150 a month, a bargain even then.
Cho attended an elementary school a short walk from his home. About 950 students attend today, about half the number when Cho was there. The cluster of three-story buildings frames a large, U-shaped dirt courtyard.
The school files contain only a single sheet of paper on Cho, showing he left the school in August 1992, at age 8, after partially
completing second grade.
"We don't know anything about that student," said the vice principal, who refused to identify himself. "And I'd like to point out that he did not graduate from here."
The young Cho left little impression on those he might have met.
Sketchy recollections in the South Korean media all emphasize his shyness, a trait that would follow him throughout his life.
"He was a quiet, well-behaved boy," said Lim Bong-ae, the family's former landlady.
His grandfather and great-aunt, both in their 80s, still live in
Seoul. Though they met Seung-hui only twice, and had not seen him for years when his face appeared on front pages and TV screens last week, they said they remembered him as a troubled boy uncomfortable with affection.
Kim Hyong-shik, his grandfather, recalled "a grandson who was so shy he didn't even know how to run into my arms to be hugged."
Cho's great aunt, Kim Yang-soon, remembered a child who was quiet and strangely remote.
"He was docile and well behaved," she said. "But his mother used to say he does not speak, that he only looked at her but did not reply to her. And that symptom got worse when they went to America. It was his mother's greatest heartburning grief that her son did not talk."
But Cho's future seemed bright. Members of the extended family lived in America. The father's younger brother persuaded them to join him in the Washington, D.C., region, home to what is believed to be America's third-largest South Korean population after Los Angeles and New York.
The Chos arrived in America in September 1992. Their early years were difficult. Apparently unable to afford the airfare, Cho's mother did not return to Seoul for her mother's funeral. She called her relatives in South Korea only on holidays and kept the calls short.
But by 1997, they had earned enough to buy a $145,000 town house on Truitt Farm Drive, one of scores of cookie-cutter developments in the area. They were so proud of their new home that they sent photos to loved ones in South Korea.
Silence in high school
People on the block are friendly from a distance, but rarely get to
know one another. Neighbors say Cho's mother would always smile. His father didn't say much, though once, at his wife's urging, he cleared the snow from a pregnant woman's car. Most of the neighbors didn't know the Chos had a son.
Cho graduated from Westfield High School in 2003. But there is no mention of him in that yearbook, not so much as a senior picture.
The high school, which opened in 2000, is stocked with high achievers. Newsweek magazine once ranked it among the 50 best public high schools in America. Its football team won the state championship the year Cho graduated. But with 1,600 students then, Cho was the odd boy who never spoke, former classmates recalled. He joined the science club but just
sat there. He carried around an instrument that earned him the name "Trombone Boy."
School officials went to some lengths to encourage students to
interact. They put round tables in the lunchroom so no one would feel left out. The "Westfield Welcomers" club formed to help wallflowers and outcasts fit in. But none of it seemed to work for the lonely, acne-plagued boy in glasses who was so quiet that some wondered whether he could speak at all.
In an advanced-placement Spanish class, students made recordings to practice for final exams. The teacher brought the tapes in one day and the class begged to hear Cho's.
"We wanted to know what his voice sounded like," said Regan Wilder, a classmate of Cho's from middle school through college.
"It was almost as if he was backed into a corner whenever you tried to talk to him," said Patrick Song, a Virginia Tech classmate who took AP calculus with Cho as a Westfield senior. "You took it as like he just wants to be left alone."
Luice Woo, another senior at Virginia Tech who was in Cho's high school calculus class, said: "I thought he was ... a recent immigrant who didn't know English."
At Virginia Tech, he was the same, though a search warrant revealed that he phoned his family nearly every Sunday night.
Indeed, the profane, rambling diatribe Cho recorded between the
shootings, widely broadcast after he ended his rampage with a bullet to his head, may be the most the outside world has ever heard him say.

Sibling differences
While her brother tried to disappear at Westfield High, Sun-kyung Cho was soaring. She'd had offers from Harvard and Princeton and chose the latter because the scholarship was better.
By junior year, Sun, as she came to be called, had developed an
interest in global economics. She traveled on an internship to the
Thailand-Myanmar border to see factory conditions in a developing
country. The experience was transforming. "They were the most amazing three months of my life," Sun Cho told the Princeton Weekly Bulletin. The experience launched her career with a firm that works with the Iraq Reconstruction Management Office.
Her college social life was as rich as her brother's was barren. As a
member of a dining co-op, she took turns shopping and cooking for 25 people. For nearly two years, Alan Oquendo ate meals with her almost every night. He remembers "a very humble person," a deeply spiritual woman who did not smoke or drink and wore little makeup. She worked at the college library and spent much of her spare time at prayer meetings and Friday night Bible studies with the Princeton Evangelical Fellowship.
She refrained from pushing her faith, but would discuss it after
dinner with a few close friends. "That would be the only time she
would talk about it," Oquendo said. "She was a very tolerant person."
It was Sun Cho, 25, who spoke Friday for her distraught family,
issuing a statement that broke four days of silence:
"We are humbled by this darkness.... This is someone that I grew up with and loved. Now I feel like I didn't know this person," she said. "He has made the world weep. We are living a nightmare."
Daily struggles
The pressures to succeed were intense.
Seung-hui Cho's father pressed pants six days a week at a dry cleaner in Manassas, Va., west of Washington. Cho's mother worked at another Korean-run dry-cleaning business in nearby Haymarket.
She pressed men's suit jackets from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. six days a week, a small woman maneuvering between hisses of steam and lines of hanging laundry.
"I knew life was hard for her," said Susana Yang, owner of the dry
cleaner. "Her health was not good, and her husband suffered from a
back problem."
Hyang-im Cho finally quit because her arm hurt too much.
"The only time she ever asked for time off from work was to attend her daughter's graduation from Princeton and to take her son to Virginia Tech," recalled her employer.
Yang described Hyang-im Cho as diligent and polite, utterly devoted to her children. "She was so proud of her daughter," she said. But,
according to Yang, Hyang-im also said, "I wish it had been my son who was graduating from Princeton instead of my daughter."
Perhaps it was just South Korea's Confucian-steeped culture, where
parents often expect boys to be more successful than girls.
Seung-hui Cho's mother never discussed her son with Yang. "Whatever burdens she carried, she kept them to herself."
Yang believes neither parent worked after 2004 because of poor health. When she first heard the identity of the Virginia Tech shooter, she did not immediately connect the name. Then she saw the pictures.
"In the two smiling photos of him in the car, I caught glimpses of
Mrs. Cho," she said. "How can this be? I don't have words to describe the pain the family must be going through."
Indeed, rumors spread quickly among South Koreans worldwide that Cho's father had committed suicide and his mother had overdosed on pills.
The rumors were false. But In-suk Baik, president of the Korean-
American Assn. of Northern Virginia, paid a visit to Seung-hui Cho's
uncle in Edgewater, Md. Baik assured him that Americans wouldn't blame the Korean community for the massacre.
"Because of their upbringing, Korean parents blame themselves for
everything that goes wrong with their children," Baik said. "But in
America, people say, 'Not me.' "
Family reclusion
Though America's South Korean American community can be insular, the Chos seemed unusually reclusive. They did not regularly attend church, a center of social activity and networking for many immigrants.
Even more important is the cultural emphasis on education and success.Failures are often viewed as dishonorable.
"Our life is governed by chae-myon, what other people think about us," said Tong S. Suhr, a Korean American attorney and an unofficial
historian of Los Angeles' Koreatown. "Consulting someone outside the family is admitting that you can't handle it. It is shameful. So we
keep everything to ourselves."
Chang, of UC Riverside, offered a darker view of the Cho family
dynamic.
"The sister epitomized the immigrant success story, while the brother
represented its failure," he said. "Cho was nerdy. Students made fun
of him. He was a psycho who needed help. His parents and friends
failed in that regard. Society failed too."http://hu1st.blogspot.com/2007/04/ny-times-excellent-on-cho-we-failed-him.html
Seung-Hui Cho Was a Mind Controlled Assassin
Deadly accuracy, disturbing revelations suggest outside involvement in VA Massacre, cocktail of brainwashing from prozac, violent video games contributed to carnage

Seung-Hui Cho was a mind-controlled assassin, whether you believe he was under the influence of outside parties or not, the fact is that the cultural brainwashing of violent video games and psychotropic drugs directly contributed, as it does in all these cases, to the carnage at Virginia Tech on Monday morning.
Gun grabbers are already exploiting the tragedy to disarm future students from the opportunity of being able to defend themselves against deranged killers, but the media circus is completely silent when it comes to the laying blame at the feet of a deadly cocktail of mind-warping drugs and bloodthirsty shoot-em-ups.
Outside of the obvious culpability of the factors we see in every mass shooting - video games and "antidepressant" drugs, numerous red flags concerning Monday events are beginning to suggest that Cho was more than a heartbroken nutcase with an axe to grind.
Charles Mesloh, Professor of Criminology at Florida Gulf Coast University, told NBC 2 News that he was shocked Cho could have killed 32 people with two handguns absent expert training. Mesloh immediately assumed that Cho must have used a shotgun or an assault rifle.
"I'm dumbfounded by the number of people he managed to kill with these weapons," said Mesloh, "The only thing I can figure is that he got close to them and he simply executed them."
Mesloh said the killer performed like a trained professional, "He had a 60% fatality rate with handguns - that's unheard of given 9 millimeters don't kill people instantly," said Mesloh, stating that the handguns Cho used were designed for "plinking at cans," not executing human beings.
Cho was certainly no slouch, in the two hour gap between the first reported shootings and the wider rampage that would occur later in the morning, during which time the University completely failed to warn the students despite having loudspeakers stationed throughout the campus, Cho had time to film a confession video, transfer it to his computer, burn it onto a DVD, package it up, travel to the post office, post the package, and travel back to his dorm room to retrieve his guns and then travel back to the opposite end of the campus to resume the killing spree. The almost inconceivable speed of Cho's actions become more suspicious when we recall initial reports that there were two shooters.
Even if we rule out the fact that Cho had received expert firearms training, the cultural mind control of violent video games and mind-altering psychotropic drugs were themselves a cocktail of brainwashing that directly contributed to the carnage, as they do in nearly all these cases.
From the very first reports of the shootings we predicted the killer would be on prozac, would have recently been in psychiatric care and would have regularly played violent video games and that has precisely turned out to be accurate in all three instances.
"Several Korean youths who knew Cho Seung Hui from his high school days said he was a fan of violent video games, particularly a game called "Counterstrike," a hugely popular online game in which players join terrorism or counterterrorism groups and try to shoot each other using all types of guns," reports Newsmax citing the Washington Post.
"In December 2005 -- more than a year before Monday's mass shootings -- a district court in Montgomery County, Va., ruled that Cho presented "an imminent danger to self or others." That was the necessary criterion for a detention order, so that Cho, who had been accused of stalking by two female schoolmates, could be evaluated by a state doctor and ordered to undergo outpatient care," reports ABC News, " but despite the court identifying the future killer as a risk, they let him go.
Investigators believe that Cho Seung Hui, the Virginia Tech murderer, had been taking anti-depressant medication at some point before the shootings, according to The Chicago Tribune.
Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, as well as 15-year-old Kip Kinkel, the Oregon killer who gunned down his parents and classmates, were all on psychotropic drugs. Scientific studies proving that prozac encourages suicidal tendencies in young people are voluminous and span back nearly a decade.
Jeff Weise, the Red Lake High School killer was on prozac, "Unabomber" Ted Kaczinski, Michael McDermott, John Hinckley, Jr., Byran Uyesugi, Mark David Chapman and Charles Carl Roberts IV, the Amish school killer, were all on SSRI psychotropic drugs.
Since these deadly drugs are prevalent in almost all mass shooting incidents, where is the call to ban prozac? Why is the knee-jerk reaction always to attack the 2nd Amendment rights of Americans to self-defense, a right that was exercised in January 2002 when students subdued a shooter at another Virginia university before he could kill more than three people because they were allowed guns on campus?
Why are the deeper reasons behind what motivates young men to kill pushed aside while control freaks demand that law-abiding citizens be disarmed of the only thing that can protect them from such madmen?
Questions about the sequence of events on Monday, VA Tech, as well as the profile of the killer are arousing increased suspicion.
We have been receiving numerous calls and e mails alerting us to the fact that VA Tech is pulling links from its website concerning their relationship with the CIA. Reports from November 2005 confirm that the CIA was active in operating recruitment programs based out of VA Tech. Several professors from VA Tech are involved in government programs linked with NASA and other agencies.

"Several Korean youths who knew Cho Seung Hui from his high school days said he was a fan of violent video games, particular
Virginia Tech
There are a few points on the general timing of events that I think need to be iterated for the sake of clarity before we look at possible explanations.
There were two shooting incidents, the first occurred at 7:15am and then the second series began approximately 2 hours later.
"A lot of our friends live in [West Ambler Johnston Hall] and we heard that a girl got shot and killed in the stairwell, and that it was, like, 7:15 [a.m.]. A lot of people go to class at 7:45 [a.m.], so everyone was just talking about how they couldn't believe that they let students out at 7:45 to go to their 8 a.m. classes, because someone had just gotten shot and killed 30 minutes before. ..." - Hunter Wilson
So evidently we have two separate incidents. The motives and shooter for the first still remain unknown. Thus far there's been no evidence to suggest it was Cho Seung-Hui. What is available are a few references to an Asian or Asiatic man being detained by police, and then released. There is some mention of him being involved in a romantic relationship, but again this info is sketchy. What you've got to remember is that the fact that accounts are so distorted and confusing is actually a fingerprint of intel agencies and their operations.
There's also the NBC package that Cho supposed sent from a Virginia post office, the post stamp indicating it was mailed at 9:01 am. The package itself is suspect, but I'll come back to that.
So, the first shooting occurred at 7:15 am, the second approximately two hours later, (apparently beginning shortly after the package was mailed), the exact timing is unknown, but by 9:45 Officers had found Cho, and he had apparently taken his own life.
Here's where it gets interesting. Several accounts say his face was disfigured by his suicide. This makes no sense. If you kill yourself with a .22 Caliber Walther or a 9mm Glock (which are the weapons we're being told he used) there's hardly anyway you could disfigured yourself beyond the point of identification.
Later we were told by an eyewitness that Cho had actually killed himself with a bullet to the back of the head
Chen said: "He opened fire to the back of his head and blew up the front part of his head, which made it difficult to identify him."
So Cho shot himself square in the back of the head??!
Something is very, very wrong with this picture.
We are also told that the guns used by Cho had their serial numbers "obliterated", yet we're also told he had a receipt for the glock in his backpack? Why take the time and energy to remove the serial numbers from the guns when you have the receipt on you while performing the crime? Further, why remove the serial numbers if you were going to kill yourself? The only other plausible reason to remove the serial numbers from the gun is to remove any ability to trace the guns to their real origin, which was probably not the gun shop.
Another highly suspicious aspect of this event is the efficiency with which Cho went about his job of gunning down the students and staff. Thirty-two kills and fifteen wounded in approximately a half hour. That's shooting one person (multiple times) every thirty seconds, approximately. Any police officer or firearms expert will tell you that it's very difficult to get a kill count that high without serious training. This isn't the kind of skill you get from video games.
Dr. Joseph Cacioppo, an emergency room doctor at Montgomery, indicated he was stunned when victims began pouring in. "The injuries were just amazing. This man was brutal. There wasn't a shooting victim that didn't have less than three bullet wounds in him," Cacioppo said of the victims he saw.
I've seen enough movies to know that "two in the trunk, one in the head" is the standard for professional, trained assassins. Apparently this is exactly what this guy was aiming for, and by the kill count he did exceptionally well.
Other weapons experts claimed that Cho's "60% kill rate" with two handguns, one of them used mainly for shooting tin cans), was "unheard of".
The next little oddity is the "Ismail Ax" that was supposedly found on his arm. For all we know this could have been added after the fact. The current talk on the internet has it pointing to some obscure reference to Islam. I mean, isn't this just a little too perfect?
In Islam, Ibrahim is known as the father of the prophets and, upset that people in his hometown still worshiped idols and not Allah, he smashed all but one statue in a local temple with an ax. Ibrahim's son is Ismail, who also became a prophet. Ibrahim is Arabic for Abraham, who plays a significant role in Christianity, Judaism and Islam.
So now we've got an immigrant who has a reference to Islam on his arm and also is responsible for the deaths of 32 Americans. I mean... seriously? Could it get any better for the Ziocons and their bogus 'clash of civilizations'?
Actually, it does. Now this next part could be deliberate misinformation, or it could be true, either way it strongly suggests that the US government's own intelligence agencies had a hand in this event. Sun-Kyung, Cho's older sister, works for McNeil Technologies, according to "a source who asked to be identified as a senior administration official". McNeil Technologies is in short, a firm contracted by the State Department to manage reconstruction efforts in Iraq. In long, it handles lots of the security, info ops, linguistics and other intelligence work for the State Department. Its clients include the NSA, the CIA, and other intelligence agencies and think tanks around the world. From their own website:
The Security Center at McNeil Technologies is a dynamic and growing Center providing full spectrum security services.
* It is one of only three competitively-selected providers, and the only Washington-based provider of airport passenger/baggage screening services under Transportation Security Administration's
Screener Partnership Program. McNeil provides service at Greater Rochester International Airport.
* Physical Security which includes Access control, escorts, and Guard services, Electronic systems monitoring, as well as classified mailroom and package inspection.
Okay ladies and gentlemen. Did you get all that?
Now I would like to address the very real possibility that the Virginia Tech shooter was under the influence of nefarious parties and may, in fact, have been mind-programmed to go about his killing rampage with no personal choice in the matter whatsoever.
I only ask that you read the following with an open mind, and if your interest is piqued, to search out the source documentation and read it for yourself. Regardless of what I write, none of us can truly know anything until we have seen it for ourselves. Allow me to start with Project Paperclip.
Convinced that German scientists could help America's postwar efforts, President Harry Truman agreed in September 1946 to authorize "Project Paperclip," a program to bring selected German scientists to work on America's behalf during the "Cold War". However, Truman expressly excluded anyone found "to have been a member of the Nazi party and more than a nominal participant in its activities, or an active supporter of Naziism or militarism."
The War Department's Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA) conducted background investigations of the scientists. In February 1947, JIOA Director Bosquet Wev submitted the first set of scientists' dossiers to the State and Justice Departments for review.
The Dossiers were damning. Samauel Klaus, the State Departments representative on the JIOA board, claimed that all the scientists in this first batch were "ardent Nazis." Their visa requests were denied.
Wev was furious. He wrote a memo warning that "the best interests of the United States have been subjugated to the efforts expended in 'beating a dead Nazi horse.'" He also declared that the return of these scientists to Germany, where they could be exploited by America's enemies, presented a "far greater security threat to this country than any former Nazi affiliations which they may have had or even any Nazi
sympathies that they may still have."
When the JIOA formed to investigate the backgrounds and form dossiers on the Nazis, the Nazi Intelligence leader Reinhard Gehlen met with the CIA director Allen Dulles. Dulles and Gehlen hit it off immediatly. Gehlen was a master spy for the Nazis and had infiltrated Russia with his vast Nazi Intelligence network. Dulles promised Gehlen that his Intelligence unit was safe in the CIA.
Apparently, Wev decided to sidestep the problem. Dulles had the scientists dossier's re-written to eliminate incriminating evidence. As promised, Allen Dulles delivered the Nazi Intelligence unit to the CIA, which later opened many umbrella projects stemming from Nazi mad research.
Military Intelligence "cleansed" the files of Nazi references. By 1955, more than 760 German scientists had been granted citizenship in the U.S. and given prominent positions in the American scientific community. Many had been longtime members of the Nazi party and the Gestapo, had conducted experiments on humans at concentration camps, had used slave labor, and had committed other war crimes.
If you research project paperclip on the net, you'll find many references to 'rocket scientists' and talk of 'missile technology', what isn't so forth-coming is discussion of their mind control programs. Inspired by these programs the CIA began it's own work on mind control, the program was named MKULTRA.
MKULTRA was approved by the DCI [Director Central Intelligence] on April 13, 1953...
Part of the rationale for the establishment of this special funding mechanism was its extreme sensitivity. The Inspecter General's survey of MKULTRA in 1963 noted the following reasons for this sensitivity:
a. Research in the manipulation of human behavior is considered by many authorities in medicine and related fields to be professionally unethical...
b. Some MKULTRA activities raise questions of legality...[Doublespeak for: Are Illegal]
c. A final phase of the testing of MKULTRA products places the rights and interests of US citizens in jeopardy. [Some experiments were terminal, others performed without consent]
d. Public disclosure of some aspects of MKULTRA activity could induce serious adverse reaction in US public opinion... [People might realize the CIA et al considered itself above the law]
Over the ten-year life of the program, many "additional avenues to the control of human behavior" were designated as appropriate for investigation under the MKULTRA charter. These include "radiation, electroshock, various fields of psychology, psychiatry, sociology and anthropology, graphology, harassment substances and paramilitary devices and materials.
Further discussion of MK-Ultra can be found from author Richard Dolan:
With an official budget exceeding $100 million by 1953, the CIA was an important part of America's subterranean history. DCI Allen Dulles had more resources and money then Hitler's Abwehr, the KGB or Britain's secret intelligence service, and none of it accountable to congress.
One burgeoning area within the agency was its mind control program, renamed MK-Ultra in April 1953, and led by Sidney Gottlieb. MK-Ultra was deeply secret and recruited ethically challenged scientists to modify the behavior of people through covert chemical or biological means.
The program is best known for its use of LSD, but it tried many other ways to harness the human mind, much of which was so sensitive that documentation remains scarce. Very soon, Ewen Cameron would be working for MK-Ultra. In 1953, Cameron was elected president of the American Psychiatric Association and eventually became the first president of the World Psychiatric Association. One of his goals was to treat schizophrenics by inducing complete amnesia, then to guide the patient to recall only "normal" (or selected) behaviors. He had limited success, then inflated his claims. His grisly experiments, conducted off American soil, included some that were terminal. (Dolan, p132-3)
An important point to remember is all of this took place from the late 1940s through the early sixties. Since then there have been several senate investigations and hearings into the matter , yet when we dig more deeply, we begin to realize that the investigations and hearing were conducted primarily to quell public alarm and engage in damage control over leaked information about what was really happening under these programs.
Protected from oversight, CIA and army behavioral experiments accelerated. During 1955, an MK-Ultra experiment took place in which an army "volunteer" was sealed in a sensory deprivation box for forty consecutive hours. In panic and terror, he kicked his way out, and wept uncontrollably for a day. This resulted in a change of policy: the box was strengthened.
Around this time, Dr Maitland Baldwin told Morris Allen of MK-Ultra that he could do terminal experiments in sensory deprivation, as long as the CIA provided the cover and subjects. This was too grisly for the CIA at this point, and it was shot down as morally reprehensible.
In time, however, the CIA had complete access to Ewen Cameron, who gladly used his own patients for precisely this purpose. Cameron actually left one woman in sensory deprivation for thirty-five days, irreversibly scrambling her mind. (Dolan, p170)
Most evidence suggests that the research continued.
MK-Ultra was supposedly terminated in 1963. More accurately this refers to the program's official name only. ...during 1964 and 1965, Sid Gottlieb authorized over a dozen subprojects related to Cameron's work under a new acronym, MK-Search. Many of those investigations dealt with ways to destabilize human personalities.(Dolan, p267)
During his last days as DCI in January 1973, Helms ordered Gottlieb to destroy all files relating to MK-Ultra, MK-Search and related endeavors in mind control. Among other things, Helms was worried that the lawsuits of Cameron's former patients could blaze a trail right to Langley. Inexplicably, Gottlieb failed to destroy about 130 incriminating boxes in the archives. Had he destroyed these, MK-Ultra might have remained unknown to this day.(Dolan, p374)
It's definitely disturbing to ponder how much progress these government scientists and intelligence agencies may have made in the last sixty years.
If the reader is so inclined I invite him or her to research the story of Frank Olson. His supposed suicide was connected to these events tangentially, to save time I will not include it here.
While doing some independent reading online, I came across a speech by one Dr. Hammond, originally entitled, "Hypnosis in MPD: Ritual Abuse". It was given on June 25th, 1992 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel, in Alexandria, Virginia. Dr Hammond is a clinical practitioner who works with Dissociated Identity Disorder (formerly called Multiple Personality Disorder) patients.
His speech focused on common traits he found across the country and in a few cases outside of it. What seemed to be evident is that patients who we're "blood-line", meaning one or both of their parents were in a cult, had a systematic programming and intentionally created alters that were capable of independent action without the host's awareness. They often had Greek letters as their
designated code names. Dr Hammond explains:
Alphas appear to represent general programming, the first kind of things put in. Betas appear to be sexual programs. For example, how to perform oral sex in a certain way, how to perform sex in rituals, having to do with producing child pornography, directing child pornography, prostitution. Deltas are killers trained in how to kill in ceremonies. There'll also be some self- harm stuff mixed in with that, assassination and killing. Thetas are called psychic killers.
You know, I had never in my life heard those two terms paired together. I'd never heard the words "psychic killers" put together, but when you have people in different states, including therapists inquiring and asking, "What is Theta," and patients say to them, "Psychic killers," it tends to make one a believer that certain things are very systematic and very widespread. This comes from their belief in psychic sorts of abilities and powers, including their ability to psychically communicate with "mother'" including their ability to psychically cause somebody to develop a brain aneurysm and die. It also is a more future-oriented kind of programming.
Then there's Omega. I usually don't include that word when I say my first question about this or any part inside that knows about Alpha, Beta, Delta, Theta because Omega will shake them even more. Omega has to do with self-destruct programming. Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. This can include self-mutilation as well as killing- themselves programming.
I've found, for example, in one case that Zeta had to do with the production of snuff films that this person was involved with.
With another person, Omicron had to do with their linkage and
With another person, Omicron had to do with their linkage and associations with drug smuggling and with the Mafia and with big business and government leaders. So there's going to be some individualism, I think, in some of those.
Sounds crazy right? An important thing to keep in mind is that a Ph.D. discovered this in many patients, indicating that it isn't some fluke, nor is it some 'conspiracy theory'. These were all documented cases of real patients, hundreds that were encountered over his career. The scary thing is, patients usually only seek therapy when the 'programming' isn't completely effective. If it was, they'd be unaware of any of these experiences, and anytime they switched between personalities they'd lose time, or have that time filled in with a screen memory. So it's quite possible there are thousands of people, programmed to perform criminal tasks for their nefarious masters, doing so as essentially unconscious slaves!
Dr Hammond was able to get the general idea of the methodology of how these individuals were programmed from his patients while under hypnosis. It's relevant, so I'll include it here.
What they basically do is they will get a child and they will start this, in basic forms, it appears, by about two and a half after the child's already been made dissociative. They'll make him dissociative not only through abuse, like sexual abuse, but also things like putting a mousetrap on their fingers and teaching the parents, "You do not go in until the child stops crying. Only then do you go in and remove it."
They start in rudimentary forms at about two and a half and kick into high gear, it appears, around six or six and a half, continue through adolescence with periodic reinforcements in adulthood.
Basically, in the programming the child will be put typically on a gurney. They will have an IV in one hand or arm. They'll be strapped down, typically naked. There'll be wires attached to their head to monitor electroencephalograph patterns. They will see a pulsing light, most often described as red, occasionally white or blue. They'll be given, most commonly I believe, Demerol. Sometimes it'll be other drugs as well depending on the kind of programming. They have it, I think, down to a science where they've learned you give so much every twenty- five minutes until the programming is done.
They then will describe a pain on one ear, their right ear generally
where it appears a needle has been placed, and they will hear weird, disorienting sounds in that ear while they see photic stimulation to drive the brain into a brainwave pattern with a pulsing light at a certain frequency not unlike the goggles that are now available through Sharper Image and some of those kinds of stores. Then, after a suitable period when they're in a certain brainwave state, they will begin programming, programming oriented to self-destruction and debasement of the person.
In a patient at this point in time about eight years old who has gone through a great deal early programming took place on a military installation. That's not uncommon. I've treated and been involved with cases that are part of this original mind-control project as well as having their programming on military reservations in many cases. We find a lot of connections with the CIA. This patient now was in a Cult school, a private Cult school where several of these sessions occurred a week.
She would go into a room, get all hooked up. They would do all of these sorts of things. When she was in the proper altered state, now they were no longer having to monitor it with electroencephalographs, she also had already had placed on her electrodes, one in the vagina, for example, four on the head. Sometimes they'll be on other parts of the body. They will then begin and they would say to her, "You are angry with someone in the group." She'd say, "No, I'm not" and they'd violently shock her. They would say the same thing until she complied and didn't make any negative response.
Then they would continue. "And because you are angry with someone in the group," or "When you are angry with someone in the group, you will hurt yourself. Do you understand?" She said, "No" and they shocked her. They repeated again, "Do you understand?" "Well, yes, but I don't want to." Shock her again untill they get compliance. Then they keep adding to it. "And you will hurt yourself by cutting yourself.
Do you understand?" Maybe she'd say yes, but they might say, "We don't believe you" and shock her anyway. "Go back and go over it again." They would continue in this sort of fashion. She said typically it seemed as though they'd go about thirty minutes, take a break for a smoke or something, come back. They may review what they'd done and stopped or they might review what they'd done and go on to new material. She said the sessions might go half an hour, they might go three hours. She estimated three times a week.
Programming under the influence of drugs in a certain brainwave state and with these noises in one ear and them speaking in the other ear, usually the left ear, associated with right hemisphere non-dominant brain functioning, and with them talking, therefore, and requiring intense concentration, intense focusing. Because often they'll have to memorize and say certain things back, word-perfect, to avoid punishment, shock, and other kinds of things that are occurring. This is basically how a lot of programming goes on.3
Indeed these horrors could only have originated in Nazi research. To think that they were transplanted and furthered here, in the United States is revolting to say the least.
Let me sum up. The history of our intelligence agencies and military had indicated that they've been engaged in all kinds of illegal and unethical research that likely spawned in the minds of Nazi scientists and was brought here in order to prevent the "commies from getting it". They did terminal mind control experiments, covered them up, lied to congressmen or otherwise manipulated them, keeping the majority of information regarding these and other programs completely secret.
Fast forward to 9-11: (that's another spook-filled can of worms) since then our government has been engaged in wars of aggression that have lined the pockets of weapons manufacturers, and in general 'loyal Bushies' all across the US and the world. Currently, the level of corruption in our government is beyond anything we as a populace have ever experienced before. In the words of comedian Bill Mahr, "It's literally hard to keep up with the sheer volume of scandals in the Bush administration, which is why I like to download the latest scandals onto my Ipod.
That way I can keep up on this week's Giant F**kup on my way into work. In fact, Bush has so many scandals he could open a chain of Bush-Scandal and F**kup Themed Restaurants..."
This week's giant "f**kup" is the lawyer firing scandal. I won't go into it, but the timing of these events is strangely coincidental, because if you can recall before the Virginia Tech massacre, the media was focused on the fact that the Bush government had once more circumvented the constitution. Not anymore, because hearings on the topic have been pushed back due to the shootings.
Coincidence?
And what about Denis Kuchinich's recent impeachment proceedings against Cheney? Sorry, they've been put on the back burner too because of VT, at least until the 25th. 12 What is going to happen between now and then we wonder...
The question we are trying to answer here is: was this kid mind programmed to "go off" for the purpose of generating terror among the populace as well as creating a distracting media circus? The facts suggest that that is a distinct possibility.
The facts also suggest that he is not the only one.
Less than a year ago, a high school student also 'went off' and killed some cops in Fairfax Virginia:
Michael W Kennedy, 18, was shot and killed after he attacked police officers in a shoot-out behind a Fairfax County police station. He was able to kill two police officers using an assault rifle and six other weapons he had with him at the time. May 31st 2006.
Seems that the Virginia-DC area, around Langley and Dulles (CIA central), has had an unusually large number of psychotic murder sprees over the years.
Coincidence?
Only April 18th, two days after the VT shooting, another kid 'went off':
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - A teenager shot and killed himself Wednesday shortly after pointing a handgun at two other students in a high school parking lot, police said. The student, who attended the school, turned the gun on himself when police confronted him at a gas station...
Further strangeness at VT includes the fact that during the week previous to the VT massacre, the VT campus was evacuated due to bomb alerts. Those bomb alerts are now being ascribed to Cho, but the problem is that there was another bomb alert in VT yesterday? Was that Cho too? From beyond the grave?
Initial reports from the VT massacre also told us that:
Virginia Tech student Chen Chia-hao told Taiwan cable TV channel CTI that the shooting rampage on Monday morning began after the gunman, believed to be a student from China, killed his girlfriend in the student dormitory after an argument.
"They had a big quarrel in the West Ambler Johnston Hall and he shot her. Then the RA (dorm supervisor) came, and he shot the RA," Chen told CTI by phone. [..]
It has since been proven that Cho had no connections to the first girl that was shot in the dorm. Without that, the version that the two murders are connected doesn't hold any water, it doesn't correspond to a pattern, and the police are still not ready to decisively link it, despite the fact that according to the media, it is already a 'done deal'.
And what about the conflicting accounts of the physical appearance of the shooter at VT? First he was wearing a boy scout outfit and was 6 feet tall? Later he was wearing "hunting gear". As it turns out, Cho was a pretty small guy. What's going on here? And just to round it all off, today, a NASA contract worker took a handgun inside an office building at the Johnson Space Center and fatally shot a hostage before killing himself.
Take a look at the facts, then judge for yourself. There will never be a 'smoking gun', so don't ask for one; research, dig, ask yourself some serious questions and then make the call. Or if you like, label me crazy, go back to sleep and pretend your government has your best interests in mind, that way you won't have to do anything except wait... and hope.
Just don't hold your breath.

The Search for the Manchurian Candidate: The CIA and Mind Control (Paperback)
http://www.amazon.com/Search-Manchurian-Candidate-Mind-Control/dp/customer-reviews/0393307948
Required reading for every American , January 31, 2007
Reviewer: Aaron A. GOLUB (Boston) - See all my reviews
I'd recommend Search for the Manchurian Candidate to every American over high school age so that they may learn from these abuses. While John Marks bases his book on declassified documents that cannot be challenged, few if anyone in the mainstream media ever discuss these things. This fact clearly illustrates the degree of political corruption and major coverups that take place in our so called 'free press'.
Manchurian Candidate lists the CIA's use of prostitutes in luring unsuspecting 'johns' to CIA run brothels so that our intelligence community may monitor the affects of large doses of LSD given to these men without their knowledge. The CIA would also routinely give LSD to one another in order to monitor it's affects. Unfortunately this resulted in the death of CIA agent Frank Olsen who reportedly committed suicide after having an unexpected 'bad trip'. In classic CIA fashion, they tried to cover up his death and denied all wrongdoing. While the truth eventually came out, one has to wonder about the depths of their illegal activities we have yet realize.
While the book is highly detailed and well documented, it only scratches the surface as to how far our intelligence community will go in engaging in illegal activities. Overall it's a great book and I'd recommend it as a starting point for those who are unfamiliar with our government's ongoing MK-ULTRA program. For a more detailed (and disturbing) account of government sponsored mind control, I'd suggest A Nation Betrayed by Carol Rutz.
