The political ranting against Saddam is almost comical since it has gone to such extremes. It almost seems to be the making of a "B" movie where the good guys are warning the world of a very bad man. At a recent prayer breakfast, the president could not help but rattle his saber once again. I am not sure what that had to do with praying, but then again, it depends to which god your are praying. Madeline Albright, as well, has lashed out at the great satan of the desert. The media, also a part of the plot, has done its share of vilifying Saddam, the world's great enemy number one. Last night on 60 Minutes (November 23rd) the argument was persuasively made that Saddam had numerous, dangerous weapons buried in the desert or in his palaces which may include his bathroom. They want to make sure and check the bathroom. The point was also made that he will not give them over and he will probably use those weapons of mass destruction on all the nations he can. 60 Minutes did a very good job of presenting the evil empire in the light which may surely cause the masses to chant for Saddam's head.
What must be said is what 60 Minutes will not dare to say. If they said it, the fire would be gone which demands the blood of Saddam. What must be shared is something the president and his women in the government (along with most of the men) do not seem to recognize. Americans must be told what they should already know, but do not. Iraq is simply doing what any sovereign state has ever done. It is seeking to protect itself. Suppose the U.S. was being threatened by a foreign power and this country saw it as life threatening to itself. You know very well what America would do. It would use any kind of chemical weapons it could muster. It would unleash any nuclear bomb it had in order to preserve itself. You know this and I know this. So, when a foreign nation only does what we would do under the same circumstances, why all the demonization? Would not rational men simply treat Saddam as they would want to be treated in similar circumstances? Iraq is only as dangerous as we have made it. Saddam is only as dangerous as we are.
When Iraq capitulated and allowed the U.N. inspectors to return, the disappointment on Clinton's face seemed obvious. That is not what he wanted by all appearances. What he seems to want is a good example. It seems that he wants the fire to fall on the heads of that recalcitrant people. As one might recall, the president has had experience with incinerating those who would not bow right here in this country. Madeline Albright went on to tell the story without shame, "our quarrel has never been with the Iraqi people." These national leaders would have us believe it is only one man they are after because he is a bad man and that bad man is Saddam. Well, Ms. Albright, why then are you starving to death all those people you have no quarrel with? I speak of the sanctions that mainly have their effect on very young children. Sanctions have no effect on Saddam, the alleged enemy. They ONLY affect the Iraqi people who are the ones Ms. Albright says she has no quarrel with. Even so, Saddam is no worse and does nothing worse than we have done, and would do, given the opportunity. Was it Saddam that dropped nuclear weapons of mass destruction on Japan? Was it Saddam that firebombed Tokyo, completely insensitive to civilian populations in 1945? Was it Saddam that tied firebombs to bats so they would find refuge under the wooden eves of the homes of those Tokyo residents only to explode, thereby, consuming the population in flames? Where did the nations get all of this technology that threatens us all these days? Was it not almost exclusively created in Western laboratories? And has it not been the Western nations who have used those weapons more than any other society on earth? So, Saddam has some gas buried in the desert somewhere or in his bathroom. That just does not seem like a big deal when compared with our own weapons which are not so buried and which we use much more freely.
The reader might say, yes, but the weapons are on our side. They will never use them against us. Oh? Is that so? Just be against the policies of this political cult and you will find out that by-and-by you may very well be one of the targeted. You may want to read some of our recent mail which helps to show this very thing. You may also want to remember a little history in which this government has been involved. When the nation has the weapons, it will use them against all enemies, foreign or domestic. An enemy is simply someone who does not do what he is told. Our actions as a nation are clearly described in the attacks we make upon Saddam. Those verbal attacks may be factually true, but they are true for us as well. Perhaps that is the terror which so many feel. Who is prepared to receive the effects for our own causes?
The WINDS has already well stated the universal plan and the purposes of the New World Order concerning Iraq. It has already been stated that the U.N. and her strongest supporter--the U.S.--need an evil kingdom to take the attention away from themselves. These are dirty tricks politicians have been using for generations. The best way to avert attention from one's own thievery is best done by pointing to someone else's thievery.
The second point I would like to mention, and I believe it is the most important, is concerning what is taking place at the center of the problem. This is truly the hidden mystery. This is the stuff no one speaks about because it takes a sober mind to see it, it seems too religious to talk about, and, as I said, most Americans are drunk.
Right under the noses of us all, the U.S. and U.N. coalition has claimed to be God. The Scriptures have predicted this very event. "Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, RSV).
If the reader is sober enough to recognize current events in this light, it is plain as daylight that the powers mentioned want complete submission. There will be no negotiations, only obedience for Iraq. The new powers are not concerned at all with that nation's conscience. They, as well as we, will do what the new order says and we will do it now!!!
Again the Scriptures speak of this new power. "And at the latter end of their rule (end of time), when the transgressors have reached their full measure (gotten about as bad as they can get), a king of bold (forceful) countenance, one who understands riddles (political schemes), shall arise. His power shall be great, and he shall cause fearful destruction, and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people of the saints. By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall magnify himself. Without warning he shall destroy many; and he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes (calling evil good and good evil); but, by no human hand, he shall be broken." (Daniel 8:23-25, RSV)
The point being made here is that this god expects worship from its citizens and he fully intends that all citizens from all nations will bow the knee and give obeisance. If they do not, they burn. One can see when a nation believes itself to be god, the strange behavior of a cult appears as it does with the U.S. foreign policy. The elitist cult now ruling will not rest until all men bow the knee. You will obey or you will get what Iraq is getting. That is the clear message. Current events show that this nation has crossed the line from a rational association of men to a cult of force and make-believe. It is time for a little reality check. In short, the nation has gone insane. The cup of deception is full.
I have likened this new god to Medusa. Medusa seems strikingly close to Mad-USA. In Greek mythology, Medusa was originally a very beautiful women who was transformed into an ugly monster with serpents for hair, claws of bronze, and staring eyes capable of turning anyone who looked at them into stone. She lived on the farthest side of the western ocean. The farthest side of the western ocean from Greece certainly fits. It is certain no one wants to see themselves with their hair made of snakes, but you may recall "the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made." The cunning of the U.S. in foreign policy fits the serpent.
The third and last point I would like to make concerns another segment of 60 Minutes that same evening as mentioned earlier. This is the problem underlying all of the aforementioned events. Why is it that Americans cannot see what is happening to them? The report spoke of the Baptist convention voting to boycott Disney for offenses in its programs. Disney sees itself loving everyone and promoting harmony. The Baptist convention sees them confusing the distinction between pagan and Christian beliefs and supporting homosexuality.
A pastor interviewed, who has a large congregation near Disney World, could not go along with the boycott because two-hundred of his parishioners worked at Disney World. The point is clear. The arguments that the pastor gave for his non-support were indicative of someone who thinks the boycott was too near his wallet. It is not the scope of this editorial to pass judgment on whether Disney is corrupting young minds. The point I want to make is that the pastor based his decision on convenience for himself or for his parishoners rather than conscience. THIS is the underlying reason modern religion cannot see the political events taking place today. Modern religion, especially Christianity, has switched to the new god. It is bowing at the feet of the beast and the god of this world rather than the God of the Scriptures because it has too much of an investment in this new God. And it is clearly written of them, "and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication." Rev 17:2.
We have been conditioned to receive this new god for a generation. Rambo has been accepted as our ambassador to the world. Much of the movie industry is merely a tool of propaganda and our conditioning has been subtle, though in these days it is not so subtle. The way you deal with your enemies is blow them away. The message is clear. Our heroes these days are the gods of ancient Rome and Greece. Oh, yes, they have new names, but they are the same gods. The Pantheon of gods these days includes: Santa, Batman, Superman, along with a small host of arrogant, forceful, hero figures found in films like Terminator II. Besides this, our cultural balance has been replaced. Children are pictured as the wise and knowing, while parents and the police, when contrasted with them, are considered somewhat stupid and foolish. Going further, the true idiot in the movie industry is the white male. If someone is going to be made to look stupid it will be him. Even with this, the Scriptures are not silent. "And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them. And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable." (Isaiah 3:4-5, KJV). All of this is not to mention the perverted sexual orientation which so many are indoctrinated with these days.
I do not apologize for making this editorial somewhat Scriptural. It seems that the Bible is about the only sober book around these days, albeit most of those who read it are drunk with the wine of confusion.
The United States, along with the whore she sleeps with, has claimed godship. They claim godship by demanding obedience. The law of this new power is greater than the law of God. The modern religious movements have largely accepted this new god. They have done this because it will cost them something to follow the truth. They little recognize the way of Christ which is to take what you know as truth clear to the cross. If their convictions cost anything, they give them up for the sake of their possessions. This cult of false information, distorted meanings and self-interest is prospering all over the world these days. Even so, it will not be for long.
"The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto the prince (president) of Tyrus [U.S.], Thus saith the Lord God; because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret (science) that they can hide from thee: with thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: by thy great wisdom and by thy traffick (business) hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: therefore thus saith the Lord God; because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God; behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible (terrorists) of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas. Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee. Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God." Ezekiel 28.
