Why Do So Many Questions Remain Unanswered After The Tragedy Of September 11, 2001?

Thesis: The very fact that our current administration, including our president, George W.

Bush, refuses to answer questions directed towards them, leads many to believe that

911 is a cover up or worse yet, a conspiracy.

I. Here is a list of events that led up to September 11, 2001 tragedy, the day of and

the times that followed this terrible mark on our counties history.

A. bin Laden had been pin pointed as a possible terrorist during the Clinton

administration.

1. A truck bomb, in 1999, failed to bring down the twin towers.

B. Many warnings were given about an impending attack, days before the actual attack

happened.

C. The official reports stated that no security videos were taken of any of the attacks,

especially at the Pentagon.

D. A war was started in Iraq to search for the perpetrators of this hideous crime against

Americans.

E. The remains from the twin towers have been removed and sold as scrap to the

Chinese.

II. Was there a cover up in regards to 9\11?

A. There was no cover up.

1. Yes four commercial aircraft were hijacked on 9\11.

2. Yes two planes did strike the twin towers in New York on 9\11.

3. Yes something did strike the Pentagon on 9\11.

4. Yes bin Laden did take the credit for 9\11.

5. Yes thousands of people did perish in the twin towers on 9\11.

B. There was a cover up.

1. On September 10, 2001, a group of top Pentagon officials suddenly

canceled travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of security

reasons.

2. What happened to tons of steel and aluminum from the plane that hit the

Pentagon?

3. Why did the President not react immediately, when informed of the disaster?

4. How did four commercial airliners simply get lost and enter restricted air

space

the day of September, 11 2001?

5. Why the urgency to destroy all the evidence form the twin towers and the

Pentagon?

6. What happened to the luggage and personal effects of the passengers that

were in the plane that hit the Pentagon?

C. From all appearances, in my opinion, there has been and continues to be a cover up when it comes to 9\11.

III. There’s a cry from the dead begging for our Government to open a full scale, open

investigation, with out the smoke and mirrors or the war in Iraq.

A. An independent bi-partisan council needs to conduct an open investigation,

immediately.

B. President Bush needs to answer some of the hard questions he has dodged since the disaster.

C. Once and for all this terrible page in time needs to be able to be closed without these unanswered questions continuing to hang over it.

911, Fact or Fantasy

For many years now, the warnings have been ignored about an attack to be done upon American soil. Sean Hannity points out in his book, Let Freedom Ring, how Representative Tom Daschele voted against a bill designed to improve America’s defenses, as early as 1979 (50). Sean Hannity also reports, Let Freedom Ring, "Bill Clinton ... [was] offered Osama bin Laden by the Sudanese government, and he turned the offer down. They could have taken him into custody and begun unraveling his terrorist network 6 years ago [1996], But they didn’t" (18). The very fact that our current administration, including our president, George W. Bush, refuses to answer questions directed towards them, leads many to believe that 9/11 is a cover up, or worse yet, a conspiracy.

The following is a list of terrorist attacks on U.S. targets in recent years.

On February 26, 1993: The World Trade Center suffered when a bomb exploded in a parking area below the Twin Towers, killing six people and wounding more than 1,000. In that case, six Islamic militants were convicted in the bombing and sentenced to life in prison.
On December 21, 1994: An explosion wounds 45 people on a subway train at the station near the World Trade Center in New York.
On April 19, 1995: A bomb rips through the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 and wounding more than 500. Former U.S. soldier Timothy McVeigh is convicted of carrying out the attack.
On September 13, 1995: A rocket-propelled grenade pierces the wall of the U.S. Embassy in Moscow, but causes no injuries.
On November 13, 1995: A car bomb detonates at a US military headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, killing five American service personnel.
On June 25, 1996: A truck-bomb explodes outside the Khobar Towers, Dharan, eastern Saudi Arabia, killing 19 American servicemen and wounding hundreds of various other nationalities.
On August 7, 1998: Several car bombs explode outside of U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing 224 people and wounding thousands of others.
On October 12, 2000: A terrorist bombing kills 17 US sailors aboard the USS Cole as it is docked at Yemen's port of Aden.

According to Reuters, former President Bill Clinton says he warned President George W. Bush before he left office in 2001 that Osama bin Laden was the biggest security threat that the United States faced.

Let us examine the “facts” as reported to us by our officials. On September 11, 2001, at 8:45am EDT the first of the two Twin Towers, the north tower of the World Trade Center was struck by American Airlines Flight 11 out of Boston, tearing a tremendous hole in the building and setting it on fire. At 9:03am, a second Airliner, United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston, crashes into the south tower. Both buildings are on fire. At 9:43am, the Pentagon is hit by American Airlines Flight 77. At 10:05 the south tower collapses. At 10:10am United Airlines Flight 93 crashes in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. At 10:10am a portion of the Pentagon collapses. At 10:28am the north tower collapses. At 4:10pm, building number 7 of the World Trade Center complex is reported on fire. At 5:20pm, the 47-story building number 7 of the World Trade Center is reduced to rubble as it completely collapses.

Here are the statistics from 2002, according to CNN, Reuters and September11News.com, total deaths from the September 11, 2001 strike on the United State of America: 3,030; total injured: 2,337; total World Trade Center deaths: 2,801; total injured in The World Trade Center: 2,261. This is how the numbers average for the deaths from responding agencies. Police deaths from the World Trade Center attack: 75; Firefighter deaths: 343; American Airlines Flight 11, WTC North Tower: 92; United Airlines Flight 175, WTC South Tower: 65; American Airlines 77, the Pentagon: 64; United Airlines Flight 93, Shanksville, Pa.:40. These numbers were revised in December of 2002 downwards from the World Trade Center to 2,792. We recognize that all these events did take place, no one questions the authenticity, but there is a question as to how and why.

So now let us examine the possibilities or probabilities of a cover up. The evidence continues to mount that a cover up of monumental proportions may have been and may be continuing to be perpetrated upon us, the American public. In the video, Painful Deceptions, by Eric Hufchmid, graphic evidence is introduced that no airliner could have struck the Pentagon. The video, which is a documentary, clearly shows that it was more likely a missile that struck the pentagon. Mr. Hufchmid brings up other valid questions. They say an airliner crashed into the Pentagon, but if so, why isn't there the debris of an airliner in the photos of the scene of the Pentagon attack? There's no airliner debris at the Pentagon, and the deep and focused damage to the building could not be from an airliner crash. The FBI is withholding two video tapes that may show what really hit the Pentagon. They are photos from the Department of Defense, the Pentagon security camera. Why did the F.B.I. first state that there was no surveillance video available, and then somehow mysteriously turns up with a low resolution tape of the Pentagon being struck? Who did produce such a video? Why in the fore mentioned video is there no sign of a commercial aircraft, only a vapor trail (from what could be a missile)? The Pentagon Strike Flash Video sums up the evidence nicely.

What happened to the tons of metal that a commercial airliner is composed of? What of the passengers? Mr. Hufchmid does a fine job of introducing the facts. Even though the space shuttle exploded miles above the earth, pieces of the shuttle and human body parts were found across thousands of miles of U.S. territory.

In another video, 911, the Greatest Lie Ever Sold, by Dir. Anthony J. Hilder, a very strong connection is drawn between our current President George W. Bush and the Illuminati, an occult underworld organization. President George W. Bush has confirmed that he was, in his college days, a member of group known as the skull and bones society, a group linked to the Illuminati. These connections can not be and should not be ignored. They are present and must be investigated. Even more disturbing are some of the other questions that these previously mentioned videos pose; the questions over building 7 of the World Trade Center Complex. Yes, we acknowledge the fact that it did collapse, but now the question that needs to be asked: how did a steel building, built for the Government, (with a seventh floor having been recently modified to withstand a nuclear strike and delegated as a command center in the case thereof,) simply collapse from a small fire in such a short amount of time? The 47 story World Trade Center Building Number 7 was leveled in eight seconds, seven hours after the twin towers came down. It had not been hit by any plane or sustained any significant damage from the "collapse" of the Twin Towers earlier two buildings. So why did building 7 collapse? The photographs show that there was not any major fire in the building at the time. The videos clearly show that it was a controlled demolition. How, in the first time in history, did a fire bring down a building constructed from steel in the first place?

Why, from the video footage available today, do the Twin Towers of New York appear to be imploding instead of falling in on them selves? Could the Twin Towers, built to the specifications that they were, being able to withstand the wind sheer factors that they had for years, suddenly be brought down by low temperature fires? The jet fuel aboard the two airliners is kerosene, known to burn at a very low degree, not hot enough to melt a superstructure framework of a building like those of the Twin Towers design. So what really brought them down? The Twin Towers didn't collapse, they exploded outwards. Parts of the buildings were ejected as far as 70 meters, before they began to fall, and the buildings concrete was reduced to fine dust. What really brought down the Twin Towers? No steel structured skyscraper in history has collapsed due to fire. The steel support columns in the sub-basement of the Twin Towers were melted, and five weeks later, were still pools of molten steel. Furthermore, these questions should be answered officially, and not simply brushed away as if it were nothing more than a conspiracy theory. There has never been an independent inquiry in the events of 9/11. Despite two years of repeated attempts by the families of the victims of 9/11, there has never been an independent investigation of what really happened that day. Is there an ongoing cover up? Both President Bush and Vice-President Cheney took extraordinary steps to limit any investigation into the events of 9/11. The National Transportation and Safety Board have never held inquiries into any of the four plane crashes, as required by law, and the FBI is withholding the data from the airliner's flight recorders. All of the steel from the Twin Towers was shipped out of the country before any investigation was held.

How could an inexperienced pilot trainee who was failing flight school have flown a 767 commercial aircraft only several feet above the ground without stalling or crashing before striking the building of the Pentagon, with the precision of a stunt pilot? The media says that it was bin Laden who carried out the 9/11 massacre from the caves of Afghanistan, yet after a supposedly "thorough" investigation, the FBI says they still have not uncovered a single piece of paper that mentioned any aspect of the September 11 plot. Seven of the supposed "hijackers" turned out to be alive and not even in the US on 9/11. Three of the "hijackers" listed a US Navy base as their address on their driver’s licenses. Why were the light, signal posts and trees not flattened if a plane flew that low to the ground? The known stall speed of a 767 is 150 miles per hour, so it only leads one to believe that the aircraft must have been traveling at least that speed, then why didn’t the sheer momentum of the amount of iron and steel continue out the other side of the building? How were surrounding cars windows not broken by the high decibel sound of the engines of a commercial jet liner flying in such proximity to them? Why were the people walking in the general area of the Pentagon not deafened or knocked down by the jet engine noise? Why are there no recognizable pieces from the American Airliner? What happened to the tons of aluminum, steel and iron that comprised the commercial airliner?

Why after the President was first notified did he not react immediately, instead of waiting until the story he was reading to the children was finished? Why on video tape is he heard saying “yes,” that he had seen the videos” even before they had been aired? There is one major question that remains unanswered. How did four commercial airliners leave their designated flight paths only to be later picked up on radar, already well into restricted air space, yet never even being challenged by our air defense forces supposedly in place. Why was there such an urgency to get rid of any evidence that could have answered some of these questions? This single act alone was completely against the laws of our country in concern to a terrorist act.

The next indiscretion in question is why would our government sell the scrap steel from the twin towers to a foreign country, China, completely ignoring all rules and laws in regards to the treatment of such evidence? As a side note, all the remains from the Oklahoma Federal Building destroyed by a supposed truck bomb on April 19th, 1995, are still, to this day, being held under heavy armed guard, as required by law. Has there really been any change in our security of this country since 9\11? Is it possible that all these examples of America’s strength is nothing more than a side show, orchestrated by our own government as a means of distraction from the real picture?

Several different scenarios have been projected for these possible deceptions. It could be a needed diversion tactic, by our officials, for the sole purpose of reenergizing the citizens of America. It could be our reason to unify and to feel proud again. It might have been needed, again by our officials, to prop up our failing, falling economy. However, it could just as easily have been for something more ominous; it might have been staged for nothing more than further restricting the civil liberties and civil rights of hard working, trusting in their government, Americans. It seems that any time the Government, particularly when President George W. Bush might be held accountable, he is either escorted away, he starts another war, or he offers up another unacceptable excuse for an answer, forever dodging the real questions put to him. We, the American public, deserve more. We deserve the answers to these pressing questions as they relate to this tragic period of our history. Another question that now plagues our President George W. Bush is where are the ties to Sadam Hussein and Iraq? Why are we in Iraq in the first place? Why are our men and women dying over there and for what? As of this writing, there still has been no direct connection to Sadam or Iraq in reference to any ties with Al Qaeda Operatives or the attacks on the World Trade Center. Here are some other lies versus facts that are in need of some consideration. In response to Richard Clarke’s book, Dr. Rice asserted, “the fact of the matter is [that] the administration focused on this before 9/11”. Press secretary McClellan claims that terrorism was a top priority before 9/11. Cheney: Bush “wanted a far more effective policy for trying to deal with [terrorism] and that process was in motion throughout the spring.” Now here are the actual facts of these matters. The number of times Vice President Cheney held a counterterrorism task force meeting which was created in May of 2001 was zero. The references to Al Qaeda in Dr. Rice’s 2000 Foreign Affairs article list Bush’s top foreign affairs priorities as zero. The references to Al Qaeda in Secretary Rumsfeld’s 2001 memo outlining national security priorities were zero. The reference to terrorism is the Justice Department's top seven goals for 2001 was zero. The number of National Security Council meetings held by the Bush administration before the invasion of Iraq was discussed (i.e., it was discussed at the very first meeting) was also zero. The number of times the Bush administration mentioned al Qaeda prior to 9/11, this was in a notice continuing an executive order issued by President Clinton, that answer was once. The number of hours President Bush and Vice President Cheney agreed to allow in their joint meeting with the 9/11 panel members was two. The number of National Security Council meetings on terrorism prior to 9/11 (out of approximately 100) was two. The weeks into administration when Energy Task Force announced was two. The number of public statements by the Bush administration mentioning Osama bin Laden prior to 9/11 (excluding press briefings and press questions which would raise the total to 19) was two. The minimum number of Al Qaeda millennium attacks thwarted by the Clinton administration (only plots to bomb Seattle, Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Jordan have been specifically identified) is four. The number of hours Bush spent with Bob Woodward as part of his book, “Bush at War” is four. The number of months into the Bush’s administration when aid to the Taliban was restored was four. The months that it would take for Vice President Cheney to respond to draft on counterterrorism and homeland security legislation sent to him on July 20, 2001 by Senators Feinstein and Kyl, as stated by his top aid stands, is set at six. The number of months before 9/11 that Paul Bremer, current Iraq administrator and former chairman of the National Commission on Terrorism claimed that the Bush administration was “paying no attention” to terrorism, also stands at six. The number of months the administration sat on an “urgent” request from its counterterrorism chief (Clarke) to meet about al Qaeda was eight. What percentage cut was sought in the financial year 2005 budget by Bush for Nunn-Lugar program to secure Soviet nuclear material and prevent them from getting into the hands of terrorists, while pushing for billions in spending to deploy an unproven missile defense system? That number is nine. The number of meetings of Cheney’s Energy Task force held prior to 9/11 was ten. The number in thousands of US troops in Afghanistan winter 2004 (compared to 150,000 in Iraq) comes in at twelve. How many months passed without any meeting of the Cheney terrorism task force since its formation in May 2001? That number is thirty-six. The number of days President Bush spent in Kennebunkport or at his Crawford ranch from January 21 to September 10, 2001, fifty-eight. The number of public statements by the Bush administration on his missile defense (also known as Star Wars) programs from January 21 to September 10, 2001, an incredible one hundred and one. The number of public statements by President Bush on Saddam Hussein from January 21 to September 10, 2001, is one hundred and four. The number in thousands of US troops in Iraq the winter of 2004, one hundred and fifty. Bremer stated that the Bush administration would “stagger along until there’s a major incident and then suddenly say, ‘Oh my God, shouldn’t we be organized to deal with this’”. How many millions of dollars did the Bush administration divert from the war against Al Qaeda to prepare for the war in Iraq? That number is $700,000,000.00. And lastly, how many dollars did Congress seek to shift from the United States missile defense program to its counter-terrorism programs prior to 9/11, eight hundred million.

Millionaire activist Jimmy Walter is offering a $100,000 reward to anyone who can prove that the Sept 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center was not an "inside job." Walter has spent more than $3 million promoting the concept that the 9/11 attacks on the United States were "an inside job" and he is offering more cash to anyone who proves him wrong. Walter is so convinced of a government cover-up that he is offering a $100,000 reward to any engineering student who can prove the World Trade Center buildings were destroyed according to the Media Cartel/ US Government/ CIA "legend," i.e., "crazy terrorist rag heads drove a plane into the Twin Towers and knocked them down without any interference from NORAD or other federal agencies." 'Of course, we expect no winners, Walter, 57, heir to an $11 million fortune from his father's home-building business, said in a telephone interview from California" according to Reuters, Walter accuses figures in government, the military and business of complicity and conspiracy in the September. 9/11 conspiracy “theory”; or is it reasonable suspicion based on evidence?

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Dick Cheney was running several war games in the north eastern portion of the United States. These drills included many hijacking scenarios, where hijacked commercial jets were hijacked and flown into buildings. At the same time Cheney had arranged for a drill involving a bio attack on New York. This resulted in FEMA setting up a command post on pier 29 in New York on September 10th. The war games involved live fly exercises, and electronic drills where fake blips were placed on radar screens Cheney was in charge of a communications system that superseded those of the Federal Aeronautics Administration, (FAA), the North American Aerospace Defense Command, (NORAD), and the Northeast Air Defense Sector, (NEADS). Some of the drills possibly included remote control planes. Cheney was in a position to have the air defense agencies stand down. From September 2000 to June 2001, 67 planes steered off course. All 67 times our air defense systems worked as they should, and interceptors were launched. On September 11th, 2001, when Dick Cheney was running his war games, four jet airliners were supposedly hijacked, and all our systems that have worked flawlessly 67 times that year, failed. Was this a coincidence? While these facts seem to incriminate Cheney, all one can do within reason is ask these questions: was Cheney in a position to have the defense systems stand down? Did Cheney, a member of the Project for the New American Century, (PNAC), a group who has expressed the fact that their agenda would be better accepted if we had a “new Pearl Harbor”, have a motive? Did he benefit from the events? Could the events have been an accident? Could the drills have gone bad? Why did the 9/11 Commission Report omit the information about the drills, making only one mention of them in a single footnote. The report only mentioned one drill, and falsely described it as a drill to defend against Russian Bombers. In the age of ICBM’s, are we to believe that we have to practice defending the nation against Russian bombers in the north eastern portion of the United States? Why have the news media neglected to inform the public of Cheney’s actions that day? Why did Bush and Cheney insist on being questioned by the commission together, without being taped, without taking an oath and with no records kept? If you did not know this information, you have to ask yourself why it is not common knowledge. In the years following the event, have you ever heard from the people who you were told committed these acts? Or, have you only been told why this happened by the people who want you to believe their story. Do you think the global intelligence powers failed this badly? Do you think men who could barely pilot a two seated plane navigate across several states and find their target?

What needs to happen? In my opinion, the first thing that must happen is a full accounting of the aforementioned items needs to be addressed by our government, directly by President George W. Bush. Second, an independent, bi-partisan investigative council needs to conduct an open investigation, immediately. By open, I refer to a group of individuals not born and bred in the boundaries of the existing government. And lastly, we need to get our troops back on our soil, to protect Americans here at home, instead of leaving them in Iraq to fight and die. All these unanswered questions need attention and answers, and until something dramatic happens to force those in charge with telling the truth, life will continue its path. It is not until these things happen that Americans, still hurting and looking for the answers that keep them awake at night, might find closure. Once and for all these questions must be answered so this tragic page in time can be closed without such looming questions haunting the survivors.
